i got into a car accident today and my powerbook was in my bag and i slammed the breaks and it flew to the bottom of the passenger side seat. when i got home, my screen has all these pink lines, and the screen flickers every now and then and returns to normal and then goes back, you can see all these lil dots, it just looks messedup, sigh... does anyone know what could of gone wrong and how much it would cost to get this fix? I think something got loose during the fall, maybe video card or something? but once in awhile the screen would return back to normal, but only for a short time... sigh i tried restarting the computer and letting it rest for awhile to see if the problem would go away, but its not. Sigh. is there anyone out there who can help me on what the problem may be please?

it sounds like the video cable that connects the monitor to the mainboard might be damaged or loose.
as usual i'd suggest phoning apple or taking it to an apple store.

you may want to check and see if the repair cost would be covered under your car insurance policy.
