Jon Stewart interviews are usually among the most tolerable of interviews I come across on the web. There is obviously an awful lot I miss out there, but I can't stand the manufactured conflict, the faux hard-hitting stuff where that so-called hard hitting stuff is pretty much sensational bullshit, the super fast paced whirlwind sound byte oriented interview, and interviews that consist of leading question after leading question - please tell me why I'm wrong sort of thing.

Many of those resemble conversations we have in here, and I often wonder if this is influenced by the media, or if the media is a reflection of the way people really are.

Good interview.

I just wish Stewart wouldn't interrupt so often.
It's a bit unfair to ask a complex question, and then cutting Jim off after 10 seconds.

He interrupted a few times, but some of them were necessary to keep DeMint on topic and away from stock clichés and stuff they had already gone over, like the urgency of the debt which they obviously both agreed on.

I only watched the first 3 hours of it, but it wasn't all that great.

I also agree with turtle that Stewart had a habit of stepping on the guys responses when he wanted the redirect the conversation (and not necessarily because DeMint was not answering the question).
