Has anyone read this book? Any good?
I was at my sisters house down the street last night and we noticed that many of the stores in the area were converted to look like stores from the 70's. Tuxedo shops, connivence stores, stuff like that.
Today my sister is walking to the bus stop at her house and walks right by Eric Bana. She calls me to tell me and then in the background I head a guy as her "Do you guys mind getting out of the shot".
Anyway, she found out it is for The Time Traveler's Wife but no real clue what the story is about other than it is some hot book at the moment and Rachel McAdams is also in the movie.

If you meant connivance stores, I'm not familiar with that store type. Do they sell bribery kits?

My wife has it, and I heard a blurb about it quite a while ago on NPR.
Is it a chick book, or will guys enjoy it too?

It's a science fiction idea, but all in all the book is more of a love story. If you get the chance, I suggest reading it.
By the way, I'm a guy and I enjoyed it.

Its a good book. I rather enjoyed i quite a bit.
But yes, some guys may call it a "chick" sci-fi book as it does not contain anyone getting cut in half by a laser beam or an alien bursting out of their chest.

I did not like it. The story was good, a lot of the writing was good, but it was ruined for me by blatant sex. For me the sex scenes in the book felt completely out of place and turned an otherwise good book into a lousy romance novel. Otherwise it would've been great.

I felt the same way about Debbie Does Dallas.

I hesitated to pick it up at first as well, but its a pretty good read. You can probably finish it in a two-weeks read.

I know absolutely nothing about this movie or book apart from this thread, yet last night I saw the whole movie in my dreams. It was pretty ok, but a bit too feminine. Just as I'd expected. Thanks guys
