Okay so I need a man bag, but not a man bag, and not a rucksack.
I carry with me:
Books / Comics
Crayons
A4 Pad
Possibly Laptop.

Any ideas? Ideally shoulder strap and super casual looking -- what do you use?

Looks like something you'd carry if you were wearing tights, had buckles on your shoes and a feather in your cap.

I use a laptop bag/shoulder bag I got for $6 on clearance at American Eagle six years ago. It's held up nicely.

Seriously, though - just go to Target. They have all kinds of trendy looking manbags there for under $30.

OMG. My wife has that exact bag, ancient and beaten up. She inherited it from her dad, who was a passionate fisherman. She uses it as a purse now.

For some reason when you said "man bag" I thought you meant "man-sized bag" or a bag to hide a man inside of (sized to fit or otherwise). Carry on...

I just went to uncrate.com because I remembered they once had Jack Bauer's man purse, but the first new item they had listed was this:

I think I prefer it to the Bauer man purse.

But it wont be made of the same material, and it will be lopsided, and fall apart in a week.

(Note: It's not that one bag failed and I replaced it. I have one for everyday use--one big main compartment for whatever I am carrying with me--and one for school use--laptop slot, big main compartment, pen holders, etc.)

I use a North Face Yavapai. Great pack, my MBP fits in great, and it's cool.

There's plenty of room for lots of stuff, and it compresses really well when it's not full.

I was referring to the chinese knock-offs of guitars. There is no "good stuff" when it comes to Chinese guitars.
