Hi,

Just playing some old retro games with "Atari800" and "StellaOSX" and this got me thinking, back in the days when I had my Atari machines.

I had many demos that showed of the graphics and sound chips in the machines, it was the thing to do, saw some great stuff on the Amiga and ST at the time.

Does anyone do such demos for the Mac now days, to show of graphics and stuff.

People of the age of 30 should know what Im talking about

Future Crew was my favorite demo group. I remember using their "Second Reality" demo as a benchmark when I would upgrade my computer.

Sheesh. Haven't thought of these in a long while! I remember being blown away by German groups with their demos on my old Atari 1040, Amiga 1000 and Commodore 64.

Jeez, I remember those demos. The Amiga had the hypnotic balls, and the Atari had the walking robot and the AT-AT demo.

Big local idols here in the 80s/90s

Some of those guys went on to start 3DMark/Futuremark, so the benchmarking continues. Remedy Entertainment (Max Payne, Alan Wake) is AFAIK also based on Future Crew members.
