ok..I admit, I had it with the 10.3 networking in the Finder.

I don't want to bother anyone with my gripes, what I want is a change for the better until an official fix is supplied.

First question:

Where are the definitions of the mountpoint of network volumes? I did not yet find this. The current mountpoint is one source of the sad state of affairs IMHO.It should be /volumes as it was in 10.2 . I'd like to try to change this back. Suggestions anybody?

Second question:

How can I create a permanent and working alias to a network volume? It seems I cannot by means of the Finder. Alternatives? I tried to get it done manually via the Terminal, but it did not work. Suggestions?
