It may be tough to find one for that much, but not impossible. I would suggest trying the guy at Wegener Media. He has a 500mhz G3 iBook with 192mb and CD-ROM for $220 and can upgrade to a combo drive and 256mb of RAM for a little extra. The nice thing about buying from him instead of someone off the forums is that you get a short warranty as well.

I've got a ti powerbook (g3, 500) with a set of scratches on the screen. It's in parts right now waiting for me to put in a new optical drive. If it's something you're interested in, I'll also consider trades. LMK!

I may have something CLOSE to that soon. I have a 12." iBook G4- 1GHz/30/256

BUT! The hard drive is dead. It has AppleCare, so I need to send it in to get fixed- probably replaced, just have a lot on my plate right now.

Still, it's worth more than$250.... lemme research to find out its value.

Well, I'm sorry. I spoke too soon. Apple is going to put in a new hard drive- which makes it worth the $500 range. Sorry.

You honestly not going to get much worth a crap for $250 thats worthy of learning graphic design. Macmall has iBook g4's, the last revisions for $699. Suck it up.
