Water? For what? Liquid cooling I suppose?

Our data center is all air. We have fans in our racks that pipe the heat out of vents.

We used to have one of those real old mainframes. Like, giant, UNIX mainframe. That had a room to itself with the raised floor tiles that had cold air running under them. Ironically, after we got rid of that server, instead of moving our existing servers into that room, they built the rack we have now for them and turned that room into an office.

They sure do. Everyone knows that data centers LOVE water! The more the better!!

You can even eek out a bit more performance out of aging servers by submersing them fully in water.

It was question that came up in a conversation with my dad about a new project
I didn't know that they use so much water. But I guess they do.
