yo!!!!

bootcamp can play games, but whats the Core Duo's AMD, Pentium 4/M/D equuivalent.

what is a 1.8Ghz Pentium 4 in Core Duo? i mean is it the same, or do the 2cores make a 1.83 Ghz CoreDuo = ca 3.2 (1.75x) Pentium 4/M/D

cause otherwise the intel macs would fall towards the 2.6-3.4 Ghz P.4's- and not be very playable

I'm not an expert on comparing processor speeds, but I think the Core Duos will beat out most Pentiums. My 1.83Ghz iMac Core Duo is a fair bit faster than my AMD 3200+ desktop, and that's supposed to be roughly equivalent to a 3.2Ghz Pentium, I believe.

Intel Pentium D 840 3.2 GHz dual-core
SPECint_rate2000: 32.7
SPECfp_rate2000: 32.3
SPECint_base2000: 1484
SPECfp_base2000: 1720

Intel Core Duo T2600 2.16 GHz dual-core
SPECint_rate2000: 36.1
SPECfp_rate2000: 28.4
SPECint_base2000: 1796
SPECfp_base2000: 1615

For the stuff we do, I'm guessing a Core Duo 2.0 is probably in the ballpark of an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2.0 GHz dual core.

Not bad for a MacBook, or a low-end MacBook Pro.
