Since upgrading to 10.2.8 my powerbook gigahertz is acting strangely. One of the things is that it doesn't sleep immediately anymore. It takes about 10 seconds for it to go into sleep mode. Has anybody else experienced this? If not, what else could it be, besides the update?
any clues much appreciated. Thanks

well, I just updated with the new 10.2.8 and it made no difference sleepwise. What could possibly be causing the delay? I'm so used to immediate sleep that it's really frustrating to have to wait....
thanks

repair your permissions, and it should fix it.

Just thinking out loud, try using one of the CPU usage utilities to see what programs are active. One of them may require some sort of negotiation before sleep.
