Based on what we know so far about each system. Which ones are you going to BUY?

All of 'em. But probably a PS3 first. Unless Revolution is out before it, which I'm thinking probably won't be the case. I'll save the 360 for last.

For me Xbox and PS3 100% for sure I don't care how much they cost.
I MIGHT skip the next Nintendo system which would be a first for me if all they have to sell is a touch screen controller and a new Zelda and Mario. Not because of cost but I hate having a system laying about for 2 games.

What systems did you own a year ago other than Nintendo?
I am the one that owns every Nintendo system (except the ds) and every other current system.

Currently i am an avid x-box player, but the idea of syncing my mac up with a PS3, i.e. iTunes, plus the gaming power and specs, is making me lean twoards the PS3.
P.S. Where is the poll?

I'm gonna wait until I see if Mattel is ever gonna update the Intellivision line or maybe even wait for Colecovision's triumphant return.

In terms of looks the PS3 is the nicest, followed by the Nintendo and the Xbox last.
The PS3 design is just about flawless, it looks like a B&O system.

I want to play Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, and Grand Theft Auto. So I'll get the system(s) that allow me to do that the best. Obviously a PS3 is in my future, and even though I'm not a Halo fan, I'll have to get a 360. I'm trying to reserve judgement on the Revolution when (if?) they ever show anything for it, but I'm already forming a bad opinion.

Now that all the systems have shown themselves I think Sony is going to take an even bigger lead as the PS3 is VERY impressive.
If I had to chose ONE system it would be the PS3.

Revolution and PS3.
Never met an xBox game I really liked, still, I'll give it a shot. But I won't play FPS games on a console controller.

What I would like to see is a comparison between the three systems. Nentendo kinda messed this up from vauge information on its future system. But serioulsy a good chart, or graph, or something giving a side by side comparison between the two.

I'm waiting for the Revolution most of all. But since the Xbox 360 will be out so far ahead of it or the PS3, I'll probably pick one up to tide me over. Then dive on a Revolution at launch.
So, voted for the 360.

Probably the PS3 first...that Killzone video was beyond what I expected. I-8 was also very impressive, and though not as flashy as Killzone, it did look fun. The PSP interaction is a big selling point for me too. Although I wish I would have waited on getting that tiny PS2 now that I know its going to be backwards compatible, Sony really did step it up. As long as they fix the controller (could that have something to do with the lawsuit?), they'll be fine.
360 seems rather weak. Outside of Project Gotham, nothing I saw looked next generation. DOA4 looked very similar to DOA3/Ultimate...Perfect Dark, Halo 3 and Project Gotham might eventually draw me towards the system, but for now, I think MS jumped the gun on this one.
The Revolution is...uh, well, I haven't really seen any game footage of The Revolution, or specs for that matter...did they even show any? I watched the E3 show on G4, and they just showed Reggie and other people talking about it. Until I see that, I think I'll hold off, but I certainly admire Nintendo's ideas of gaming being about the games and not about the bells and whistles...they just need to show one or the other, and they didn't do that with the Revolution. I imagine it will be a great second system, just like my Gamecube.

The Motorstorm and Killzone PS3 trailers are incredible. I really hope that is realtime rendering, and the games will look like that.

Neither of those were realtime engines of any sort. Some may have included some "in-game" terrain/possibly character models/textures/artwork, but it was all definitely rendered. Motion blur can be deceptive. Don't let this stuff get everyone's hopes up! You're gonna be "PS2'd" if you think that's gameplay footage. The games are gonna look amazing, but not that amazing. We're a generation or two off yet.

Definitely Revolution, and most likely a PS3. I have a friend or two that I know will be donating organs to have a PS3 right away, so I can just chill with them and game. Thankfully they're of the "combo country" when it comes to gaming and will appreciate it if I get a Revolution.

Actually watching the videos. There's a difference in using the art you'll be using in your game (models/texture/etc.) in a rendered and animated scene than having it actually running in an engine and in gameplay. What is going on in both of those videos (polygon and texture counts alone in the Killzone one) is still well beyond what you're gonna see actual real-time and in-game. I'm not trying to crap all over the videos—they're amazing and very well done. But they're no actual games. So please don't translate that into some "Nintendoism."

Hell yeah, it does. Some top notch art direction and production going into these games. These things will shine next generation. Gameplay is all I'm worried about. I can't wait for the next generation to kick in.

PS3, maybe a Revolution but the jury is out til I see some screens and games and know more about how the DS fits with it. Not an XBox.

Shoot I'd rather buy an xbox from Micro$hit before I bought a PS3 from sony, wonder why?
1. While Nintendo treats US customers like 2nd class people, Sony treats em like what.. 3rd class? Nah no class customers. They have very little respect for one of their biggest markets and constantly trash us and 'delay' US releases because "JAPANESE IS SUPERIOR!" -- ironically Nintendo is VERY japanese but Sony mocks them for not being japanese enough...
2. unlike Sony which wants to kill nintendo, MS pays taxes in the US and gives more people jobs here.. so even if they both want to kill off the only independent game console company left (wish sega would come back) -- which you would LOVE to see happen, and I don't get why.. in fact, let me veer off for a second here..
Doesn't it ever bug you to see these mega giant companies smash out small companies like sega and nintendo with *DIVISIONS*?! Sony's PS division means nothing more to them than $$$, they're not trying to innovate, they just want to make money, and like any other business they'll do as little as they have to in order to get there.. I don't get it
Anyway, MS is the lesser of two evils (ironic, isn't it?)
---
The other two things that confuse me are these:
1. The PS3 is nothing special, it looks like 1/3 of an xbox 360, its design is about as good as a bose home theater receiver, honestly I don't see what's so special about it... so it can squeeze a loaf in 32478234 texels per second, a turd is still a turd no matter how many pixels it is. Same goes for the XB360, not that I don't think either will be successful, because I know they will be, but there's nothing truly revolutionary about them -- faster graphics, totally expected, boring designs (ironically the xbox is concave and the PS3 is convex shaped, and a royal shitload of sequels because the companies are too damn stupid to make their own original things, where admittedly sony is a bit better. Shoot, what other "mascot" does the xbox have besides that Halo character?
The Revolution box might or might not whoop the xbox or the PS3, that we have no idea, instead you guys look at it being small and bash the hell out of it because of that. Do you have "member" size issues? Does size REALLY matter that much to you that you can't stop but bash the heck out of a small console? It's small! That means you'll be able to stick it in your backpack and take it to a gathering without having to have one of those stupid-ass caselogic cases or whatever. About damn time, I haven't seen something that small since the Genesis CDX!
2. What's with you going and STARTING A THREAD ON A NINTENDO PRODUCT, taking it off topic, and then bitching at fanboys for trying to keep it about nintendo and not your sony crapwar? Have you no decency? That was like a bait-and-switch TROLL thread.
I see you've been pretty much trying to dictate our opinions on the gaming consoles by shoving your needless crap down our throats and flood threads that aren't going the way you want them to go. Who the hell raised you to be such an asinine little pain in the butt anyway?
I fully expect you to reply to this trying to discredit me for whatever the hell is in my screename, or what hobbies I have, and for all I care, go right ahead. Your heap of junk posts that have pretty much anhilated any chance of decent E3-related threads speaks for itself, and thus I don't have any credit to worry about.

PS3. The PS1 had the games I wanted (MGS + Gran Turismo), the PS2 had the games I wanted (MGS2, Gran Turismo 3, GTA3). It's fair to say that the PS3 will too.
The xbox and gamecube didn't have anything that gave me a good enough reason to buy one. I'm not bashing these platforms, I just don't want to own three different systems just to play games.
I should point out, this decision is based on what is known NOW, and may change depending on what the games look like. If the xbox360 has some title that just blows me away, I just might buy it. Halo 3 is probably not that game.
