from Newegg.

And now my computer is faster than pretty much all others on the planet.

No. There's no point in arguing with me. Yours is slower by a wide margin.

I have at least two of everything and four of most things. Cores, for example.

And, after eleven years of being a Windows user, I've finally purchased my first copy of Windows. If *that* ain't a milestone, I challenge you to show me one. Anyhow, it does that new 64bit thing. Which is essentially pointless. No, wait. It's the very definition of pointless.

I have enough RAM on my graphics cards to store almost 300 MP3s!

Yeah, I know you must be feeling rather inadequate right about now. Those of you with GMA950 integrated graphics are, no doubt, feeling downright suicidal at this point. But that happens when you get pwned. Well, that's what people tell me, anyways. Until I actually get some firsthand experience with being pwned - reckon I'll be forced to rely on the testimony of others.

So, like I was saying...my computer has been faster than yours since at least late 1998. Which is classified as near decade-long 'total and complete pwnage' according to the experts. The last few years I've slipped and *almost* let one or two of you pwn my ass. But that's all in the past. Today you will bow in total submission. And for many tomorrows to come.

Is this the part where we measure our penises?
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

I need a new motherboard. I just saw mine at Fry's. It was the $20 bargain motherboard. That's when you know it's time for a new motherboard.

I bet it's not as fast as my PowerBook G4. It doesn't need two of anything.

Installs Windows in like 12 minutes.

Can't get OSX to install properly. I think it's because my machine is too fast.

My machine can be fixed in 12 minutes. You, on the other hand, must wait for Mr Jobs to climb out of his Gulfstream business jet, change into some goofy early-80's-looking clothes, and announce to the press that the new Mac is being upgraded to Intel's newest integrated graphics chip - ("oh, and one more thing....if you wanna know what it feels like to use an OS that has proper device drivers, speed, and refinement - we have made 'bootcamp' available for free download..."

Windows registry corruption can be fixed in 12 minutes by inserting a CDROM.

Slow, sluggish hardware (like yours) is *forever*.

That IS cool. I wonder how long it would take to fix the OSX registry with my machine…

Well if your not a mac fan, why post here other then being a troll.

I'm pleased that you seem so arrogantly happy with your new baby. Regardless of what demeaning barbs you toss my way, I'm content with my mac. It does everyhting I want it to and more.

I've been a windows user for years and I've had to put up with constant reboots, reinstalls, registry corruption (yes gomac it does happen). OSX stable, clean no activation, no spyware, virsuses. In short a great computer and OS.

btw, I was uninstalling a text editor on my pc (my work computer) and it had me reboot the machine after the install. This is just one thing that irks me in windows. Why in the world do I have to reboot my machine just to uninstall an application. Then of course is excel and outlook; if either one of them are running I cannot shut down. It tells me to close all MS applications before shutting down - what the heck

It's so fast that I can launch *all* my 3D shooter games and toggle between them at will - without a noticeable loss of performance. Actually, there's nothing you can do from the keyboard and mouse that will affect the speed of this monster. It's like having three dozen of whatever it is that most people use.

Oh, you're envious alright. Steve Jobs is light years away from offerring anything with this sort of power.

Maybe if all the Mac faithful would sit in a circle and join hands and chant "we want a pair of dual-core processors and modern GPUs that can link together to share the workload - and PC6400 DDR2"....

This thread should be shut down. All thats occuring is that Spliffdaddy is boasting about his so called 'super computer' which blows all other computers out of the water..

Personally I'd like you to compare it to a G5 quad, and see that there isn't a huge speed difference. Spliffdaddy, you sure are going to look like a t.w.a.t when the Core2 Duo Mac Pros are introduced.. they will blow your windows-running piece of crap out of the water.

Besides, I don't understand why you are boasting so much. I am sure 99% of the people on this board would rather a Core Duo iMac than a computer of any speed that runs windows...

I used to have a computer like that.

Took like all day to do 'actual work'.

This baby right here can do all of your actual work in mere minutes - leaving the rest of the day for some Battlefield2 action.

Shhh, don't tell him that...I doubt he undertands.

Why on earth would I need a machine like that? I can still do 3d and photoshop fine on my 6+ year old PowerMac.

I haven't played a computer game in ages and I doubt I ever will......sooooooo basically I do not envy your machine, especially since it runs the crappiest peice of software to ever be put on a computer.
