First Daughter Barbara Bush had her purse and cell phone stolen as she had dinner in a restaurant in Buenos Aires, Argentina, even though she was being guarded by a detail of Secret Service agents, according to law enforcement reports made available to ABC News.

It was not the only mishap on the two-week trip to Argentina by Barbara (right) and her twin sister Jenna (left).

A Secret Service agent on the advance detail got into an "altercation" with someone after a night out and was badly beaten, according to the law enforcement reports. The Secret Service said today the incident was an attempted mugging that occurred while the agent was on his own time. The agent is doing fine.

The purse snatching took place on Barbara's first night in town while she was dining in the picturesque San Telmo neighborhood. According to the reports, the Secret Service agents failed to notice the incident.

The Secret Service would not comment on the purse snatching, and the First Lady’s office said they would not comment on any personal trip made by the daughters. There have been recent reports, however, that Jenna Bush has been living and working in Panama as an intern for UNICEF.

Please explain to me how a man could be *paid* to look after a hot chick - a task he'd do for for free - and somehow fail to see the hot chick being mugged.

That defies logic.

Anyhow, now that I'm aware of the fact that the Bush twins are in Argentina, I know where I'm going on vacation.

Everyone keep an eye on Craigslist. I detect a job opening in Barbara's entourage quite soon.

I live in Argentina and San Telmo is famous not only for being pintoresque, the tango and all that crap. You can end up stripped if you don't have your eyes wide open. Heh, we even have international pick pockets there. Aside from our own pick pockets, you can find Chilean, Peruvian and Bolivian pick pockets as well. They work in groups usually.

Much other tourists are mugged too. It's a real pity/

So, technically it was a Secret Service guy who was mugged.

From the article, it sounds like she probably left her purse in a bathroom or something. Hardly a mugging.

So you're saying that one of these ladies is "hot"? Woah, I would never say that.

Barbara is the one on the left in this picture. She is the slim, less-outspoken, more class, and more mature, twin.

Jenna is the one on the right in this picture. She is the party girl--pictured falling-down drunk in a post above--who is a bit on the thick side and who got caught flashing her "bush" to the world when changing into a bikini on the beach.

A Secret Service agent beaten? Woah. THat must have been one large South American or a gang that did it.
These guys are usually FBI agents. TRaine in hand to hand combat extensively.

Hmmm. Can't wait to see the movie Tourista now.

Just for clarity, Barbara wasn't mugged her purse was stolen. The secret service agent was mugged (or more likely, got into a fight while drunk).
