Here is another image just to give you a better feel of how amazing the streaming quality is.

Loaded almost instantly for me. I was kind of expecting a longer buffering time.
Looks nice.

I have it up on my iPhone and the quality is really great right now. We'll see if it holds up.

720p quality on my MBP.

Anyone think they'll announce QuickTime X for windows today, and use the HTTP Live Streaming tech for iTunes streaming?

Yeah, I'm watching it on my iPad at work through the company's wifi network. I'm surprised they don't have it blocked off.

Nevermind, my MacBook is on 10.5. That's probably the problem.

Getting a check back in on my iMac running 10.5, does that mean I can't see it?

Yeah, though seeing the new nano it seems that the only reason it exists is due to it's low price ($49).

Don't dismiss the importance of that low price. It's squarely in that "quick and cheap stocking-stuffer" range. The last version (with the touch controls on the wire) was priced too high for it to be an impulse buy.

And, those buttons on the shuffle are still going to be a hell of a lot more convenient/intuitive to someone out for a run than a touchscreen will be.

New iPod touch is freakishly thin. However, seeing as it has a slightly better version of the previous nano's camera, I don't think the quality is going to be near as nice as the iPhone 4's.

What's funny is that if you want a new pair of apple headphones it's $29 bucks... and if you want a shuffle it's $49. If you need new headphones you can basically get a shuffle for $20.

Just happened to me. I'm watching it on my iPhone 3G on Roger's 3G network. Good quality so far but once in a while I'm switched to audio-only because of bandwidth issue

I'm getting the flashing screen glitches, and the stream backed up a few seconds at one point, but still looking very good. (I'm on my MPB with very fast internet.)

Or you could buy equivalent headphones without the Apple branding for 5 bucks.

Anyway, I'm glad the executives came to their senses with respect to the shuffle. Not even Apple could trick consumers into buying an mp3 player with no buttons and proprietary headphones.

Not that we didn't all know that, but with the new price point the iPod is technically cheaper than the earbuuds.

Actually, the big thing about the Apple headphones is the remote. I would love to have more options with remotes, but until they are out there I'm stuck with the white earbuds. The newer ones are comfortable.

I'm setting up a Mac mini as my Apple TV. Just got an HDTV tuner and antenna, gonna install Myth TV. Shouldn't be long before an open source AirPlay server is released.

I've disconnected from cable two years ago, used a Mac Mini ever since. For me, that's the perfect combo, I need more capabilities than the Apple TV has to offer.
