I just saw this on another forum. Creepy. Particularly since she just had a kid and lost a kid.

I feel quite bad about this, I rather liked her even though she was a bit off her rocker.

Unfortunate for her and what family she has, but not unsurprising.

From nbc6.net:

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Memorial Regional Hospital officials say that Anna Nicole Smith died Thursday after collapsing at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Related Content: Images Of Anna Nicole Smith
Several witnesses told NBC 6 that they saw paramedics giving Smith CPR at the casino at about 2 p.m.

The Seminole Hard Rock later confirmed that it was a cardiac call. Smith was with her companion, Howard K. Stern, and her bodyguard when it happened.
Hark Rock officials said Smith checked into the hotel on Monday and was scheduled to check out on Friday.
"She was obviously in distress," said hotel president Michael Bloom of the ex-Playboy Playmate.
Officials said her baby was not with her, but she was accompanied by her husband and four others, including a nurse, Bloom said.
Bloom said the hotel received a call from her nurse just after 1:30 p.m. requesting assistance.
Five minutes later hotel security and emergency medical technicians responded to her room and contacted local fire and rescue teams.
Smith was taken to the hospital shortly after 2:10 p.m.
Smith had been hospitalized for pneumonia for a week in November and was recently sued, along with TrimSpa in a class-action lawsuit alleging the company's marketing of a weight-loss pill was false or misleading.
Her daughter, Dannielynn, is subject of an ongoing DNA test battle with Smith's former boyfriend. Smith's late son, Daniel, died of a drug overdose last September.
Smith has long battled for a share of the fortune left by her late husband, oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall III.
NBC 6 News and NBC6.net will have more information as it becomes available.

Its awful and I feel really sorry for her. I wonder if it was a suicide. Life couldn't have been easy for her these past several months. At least her little girl will have a chance at a happy life.

I had some radio station streaming at while I was working an hour ago and they mentioned she had collapsed, then I went to a meeting, I come back and read she died.

That's really sad. She was a strange lady, but I liked her for some reason.

Why? I am sure it was the methadone that killed him. That stuff is lethal.

I am going nuts with this news, as the girls in the office staff just can't stop talking about it. Since I can't say it to them, I'm saying it here.

I feel sorry for her daughter, but honestly, I can't bring myself to care all that much apart from that.

This is being treated by the news media similarly to Steve Irwin's death. There's coverage everywhere.

The only difference: everyone loved Steve Irwin.

It's never a good feeling when someone dies (I even felt weird once Saddam was hanged...I got over it later). However, her marrying of an 89-year-old man worth $400,000,000+ in a transparent attempt to cash in is a big part of why people aren't feeling incredibly sympathetic.

Still, everyone has someone that loves them. I do feel bad for the family and friends.

This is a bizarre thing - I have no opinion on the matter whatsoever. It's like I actually really don't care. It's interesting seeing how fast the news is travelling around the World (for example, making it to the BBC front page already) but that's about it.

I'd be more upset if Rom off Deep Space Nine died. And he's fictional. <shrug>

I don't know if that makes her a bad person though. Heck I would do it if I got the opportunity.

I don't think anyone is asking you to.

I find it puzzling though how some of you are coming in here yelling "Who ****ing cares? I don't care".

It seems that you DO care that other people care and want to bring them down or get the point across that you didn't like her for whatever reason.

If you truly don't care why come in this thread to begin with? Just get the hell out of this thread and keep your comments to yourself.

How I wish many times you would take your own advice SWG...

Hopefully you'll remember this the next time you derail threads with your own brand of hateful banter. Somehow I doubt you will though.

I'm very cold about bad people. I'd kill rapists for fun if the government allowed me to do so. More importantly... why do you feel 'warmly' about what happens to bad people?

I don't know her personally but I did watch her show and she is a total flake but in no way a bad person. He seemed very caring to her kid and animals and never set out to hurt someone.

Who knows why some people here seem to think we are better off that she is gone.
