Finally, something from AOL that is worth using.

Free XM. Nice Mac OS X application. All you need is an AOL screen name; .mac login works also.

I'm pleasantly surprised.

They're given XM away for free now? LOL. How many channels?

Works great, even UB. Price is right.

Alas, only 5 presets and no equalizer, but in all fairness, I'll still give it 4.5 stars.

I don't know how many channels, but I'll guess about 200. Or, better yet, I could claim the definitive number, and then, within a few minutes, I'll be corrected by someone who has counted them.

Very sweet find. Now if they could update the official OSX client for AIM, would be nice.

I like it, presets are accessible via the icon on the Dock.

Two minor questions:
- is there a way to hide the ads window and left or right hand of app's main window?
- how do you use the included screen saver (besides I guess copying it to the screen savers folder) ?

gonna to reply myself about the screen saver thing… after a while I was just asked about installing the screen saver module, that easy, a pity the album art is so small to look any good, you can't resize it down or just center the grid on the screen…

"Is there a way to hide the ads window and left or right hand of app's main window?"

The only ways I know of are:
1. Resize the widow with the "resizer" on the lower-right. That will get rid of the ad goiter.
2. But usually, I just use "Hide AOL Radio" using Command+H. Alas, the ads may reappear when changing channels (depending on size of window when the app was last closed).

I got rid of it using Interface Builder in the Developer Tools.
Now, it looks nice!

Thanks to both of you.

@ pendragon, resizing the window did the trick, but I miss the text letting you know what the other station presets are playing right now…

@ JellyBeen, so true, for a moment I thought I had to install the developer tools just for that, would be too much ask for the modified .nib so we can avoid the ad panel still getting as much info as possible?

JellyBeen, Thanks for the tip re Interface Builder. I had no idea that was even doable by mere mortals.

Ah, so much I don't know...
