Hi all
I am wondering which of you use these apps and which one is more effective at boosting broadband speeds? Please let me know!

Thanks!
M

P.S. What connection is this best for? Will my DSL connection or EVDO data card connection benefit from it?

BroadbandTuner works pretty well. It adjusts the settings that are most often responsible for reducing throughput with Macs, and it WILL work with your computer. The other one... I don't know anything about.

Any neetwork connection you set up with your Mac can benefit from BroadbandTuner, though how much benefit is very much dependent on all the details of the connection.

If you are getting good speeds as tested with a reliable utility like Speed Test, then you probably don't need much tweaking anyway.

And if you really want to get into the nuts and bolts, check out this FAQ entry at Broadband Reports.com. I've used the utility mentioned there, and it works nicely.
