Hi all,

I just got a great 160gb Iomega eGo external USB drive but didn't realize I need to plug it into TWO USB ports. Well, we all know that the Macbook pro has ports on each side of the unit--problem is, the other half of the Iomega USB cord is not long enough to reach around. How do I solve this?

Thank you!
Michelle

I don't have one of those, but I am pretty sure that you only need one USB port plugged in.

Most laptop hard drives are right on the borderline of the maximum power from a USB port (2.5W). With two plugs you know it's going to work, with one it's kind of a crapshoot depending on the host computer and the particular hard drive you have.
You can buy a USB extension cable if you need the second plug.
