I bought a new phone yesterday that the salesman told me was brand new but I smelt a rat because of the packaging. I got it home and went through the camera pics and found this:

Funny as it is I was pissed that somehow a "brand new phone" has a pic of some girl in a SHOE STORE! Later the same day the phone died for good.

I called the store that I bought it from and told them they sold me a returned phone that was also defective. They weren't helpful so I called the head office and my cellphone provider, they are in big **** now.

Oh, and I got a new phone from another store and my provider gave me lots of discounts for the trouble.

Same thing happened to me with an iPod i bought yesterday, well, except there wasn't a picture on mine.
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

Not that I want it but no.

Funny thing is that is the exact face I made to the store that sold it to me when corporate called them

On the plus side at least she wasn't naked.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it pretty damn illegal to sell returned merchandise and call it new?

Yea. Pretty sure it's fraud in some form or another...

I was certain this thread was going to contain NSFW images from someone's cell phone.
Damn the disappointment.

I loved his commercials, I'd look forward to them when visiting my grandmother in Long Island in the '80's.

Yep, I have had tons of cellphones from $800 Nokia's and cheap Ericssons. For me the Sony's have the best OS, design, features and best battery life, Heck it has the same damn interface as iTunes so i can't think of any reason to get anything else.

Every Nokia I have ever used had piss poor battery life. Motorola's OS is horrid, Samsung's are mostly flip phones which I hate and have poor batterylife.

I prefer flip phones because candybar- and slider-style phones get scratched up very soon and look like crap. However the vast majority of flip phones are crap so you have to choose carefully.

Really? Mine all still looked great after 2 years of heavy use. I even dropped my last sony t637 in the toilet when the phone was ON and after drying her off you it worked 100%

I live in UK so that means two things 1)I'm always tossing those pound coins in and out of my pocket, and 2) I walk everywhere so the phone is constantly sliding around in my pocket. So stuff gets scratched up easily in my situation.

@I Bent My Wookiee.

Does the phone sync (isync) with bluetooth to your mac and can you install salling clicker on it?

If it is a yes to those two options i'm buying one this weekend. I really like that phone and my k700i is getting old. but it *has* to pass both those bluetooth tests before i'll buy it.

iSync doesn't work till Apple updates it as this is a new phone. But yes, salling works 100%

I found this page which talks about getting new phones working in iSync. Thought I'd share it.

Thanks for the info SWG, I'll be getting one next week.

If it doesn't work just copy all your contacts to your SIM and the Sony handles it fine.

So far I love the phone, the speakers are LOUD, the Music software has the exact same software as itunes and the voice quality is the best I have ever heard (even on a landline).

Nah I've had a couple jobs, mainly been a professional student though, in high school I worked at an Ice Cream store owned by Satan, Safeway, and then later in College I've worked at Best Buy and Sears. Also had a short stint at a moving company.

My Sony T637 was dropped at a construction site, embedded into the mud by a backhoe, and found 2 days later after somebody heard it ringing.

Still works great, but it looks a bit rough.

I don't know how Motorola became so popular when Sony always kicks their ass.

I've had the W600i since November or so. The Sony Ericsson interface is just so beautiful and intuitive to use. I won't touch the Motorolas because of their shoddy interface. While the quality of the phone is great, I just can't see the function of the swivel design. One handed un-swivelling means the phone is then held upside down and must be turned around. If they insisted on having the screen on outside, why not a slider?

I agree with you 100%, swivel would be better. I think Sony's intent was to also use the phone in an upsidedown Capital L position.

Either way I still like it way more than a flip phone which I can't stand.

I had two T637s die for no explainable reason. First one in 9 months, the second lasted about 6
