how can I watch TV on my imac?

Hey guys,
I'm wondering how I can watch regular TV on my imac.
Is this possible?
What do I need to do?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My internet connection is pretty slow, so I love my Elgato EyeTV 250 Plus.

Dumb question regarding TV and my iMac. I have a Comcast cable screwed in to my modem, which of course connects via Ethernet to my iMac. Can I simply put a splitter on that cable line and run the other wire to an elgato or miglia device?

Yes you can splinter the cable before the modem for a TV tuner device (as long as you're subscribed to cable as well as internet).

Thanks for the quick replies. I do have cable TV as well, so it looks like I'll be getting a splitter tomorrow. Anyone have experience with either Elgato or Miglia products?

So I currently have a windows pc with a tv card (with coax connector). I have my cable tv coming from the wall split with one line going into my pc and one line into my cable modem. This allows me to watch tv (and listen to the radio) on my pc while I'm on my computer.
Now I looking to upgrade to an iMac. Which product would be the most cost effective and best to do this same functionality. I don't really care much about recording tv, just being able to watch it while doing other things on my computer.

I've used it for several years and it keeps getting better. Never watch live TV any more. I record one hour of news every morning and zip thru it later in about 15 min. I can clip any part (still images or video) to save or send to others. With HDTV you can get quality video worth saving on DVD, and with hundreds of channels and one or two weeks of program listings you have a great selection for later viewing.
There will be a small TV Guide subscription fee for new US users soon but it's still worthwhile.
