Hey all,
just a quick question, maybe some of you guys could help me.
I've noticed a weird thing happen with my 15" powerbook in the last motnh or so.
Depending on what angle I tilt the monitor, a set of white flickering lines is appearing in the lower third of my monitor, and as time has passed the amount of agnles these lines appear at has increased.
Anyone have ANY idea what the problem is here?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Maybe a loose or fraying cable from the display to the motherboard as you tilt the display?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "...as time has passed the amount of [angles] these lines appear at has increased."

Hi

wow that sounds very bad indeed. take it to get replaced asap. that is definitely not normal behaviour.

as to what is going on... i dont think too many peope will be able to diagnose the exact fault... if i was a tech i would say: "yep faulty... replace it and see what happens".

just make sure you can reproduce the issue when in a service store

but yeah.. it is an interesting effect... i dont think i have ever heard of it before. som connections may be getting pulled or tangled when the hinge moves is my guess also as mad cow pointed out... since it only does it when ya move the screen.

goodluck!
