I was frustrated at not being able to find a stylish case to protect my 17" Powerbook so I designed and made my own. Have since made them for friends and co workers.
If you're interested, drop by my website for complete details...

Hah...yeah, Its definitely better just to carry the PB around and display its splender and glory. And it does not really need a case, its not an iPod.

if you expect to get tackled or if you expect to use it as a mace (you know, that spiked ball on a chain that you see in the medevial times). otherwise, marware makes a nice case that is very thin, form fitting, and extremely comfortable (shoulderstrap-wise). less than $100

Has anyone tried these? I'm just curious how durable these actually are...
And if they actually protect the powerbook like they say it does.
