I notice that the forum pages are stalling when loading. They display the top header (with "News" "Reviews" etc) and then stop. If you press the "stop loading" button, the page will appear completely loaded. I think this is probably an issue with ads. I've verified it on Safari and Firefox on Windows.

Probably, it's happened before in the past. I have an ad-blocker on, so I'm not getting it, but if you use Safari's Activity window, you can see exactly what file(s) failed to load.

It's the ad servers, mostly intellitxt and tribalfusion. It's what finally drove me to edit my hosts file. Now if only there was a convenient list of ad servers used by MacNN somewhere

Yup. it's the ad servers.
It's really bad. 4 or 5 stalls for every loaded page.

Stupid that that's still not fixed. I now use PithHelmet to block ads, so they no longer attempt to load, and thus don't hold up page loading. I can only suggest you do the same.
