Doesn't matter the platform or the age, just as long as it's a legitimately owned video game currently in your collection, and feel free to count expansion content as an individual product.
A recent count reveals my own library of games to contain 438 games.

Two – GT3 and GT4.
Guess who likes cars but doesn’t care much for video games in general?

Very rough estimates.
2600 = 30
NES = 50
SNES = 50
N64 = 25
PS1 = 10
Dreamcast = 15
GBA = 15
DS = 20
Cube = 20
Xbox = 25
360 = 10
Wii = 2
Those are just the ones I have now. I've sold more games then I care to recall.

I only list what I have on Mac. Small games not counted.
Call of Duty 1&2, Civilisation 3, Warcraft Frozen Throne, FM2006, Doom3, SimCIty 4, Starcraft, Racing Ford, The Sims.
10 in total. I wish there was a Mac version Counter-Strike.

Probably a couple hundred among all systems since the NES. Would be a lot more, but I used to be way more into renting than buying.

Probably a hundred or so. A couple of thousand if you count all the pirated C64 games that passed through my hands in my youth.
Civ IV, Starcraft, and my 30-or-so board games are the only ones that matter.

Looks like I have around 300 console games, not including anything from the PS1/N64 generation or earlier (I still have 20+ Nintendo 64 games lying around, for example).

Not much into games. If it didn't come pre-installed on my Mac or iPaq, I am out of luck ... in fact, not even sure what's on there.

Wow, that's amazing. Most people I know who own 200+ games have the majority of them for third- and fourth-generation systems like the Nintendo and SNES.

Well, I own all of the consoles (including all of the portables) so that helps. And I got most of the games fairly cheaply. It's amazing what you can find at clearance sales and the like. I've gotten a lot of good games for $5 and under brand new. I recommend the site Cheap Ass Gamer (in particular, the forums) for information about deals like this. I also do a fair amount of game trading at Goozex.com, which I also recommend.
