Occasionally my G4 iMac looses the rendezvous printer.

I delete it in printer setup utility and the add it back again-no problems

Why does the iMac loose the printer?

It never looses the Screen! AppleWorks never forgets how to display to the screen neither does any other application.

Could the same tecnology be applied that routes graphics data to the screen be applied to routing printer data to a printer.

In my novice experience printer setup make more computer users pull their hair out than most other problems.

Could Apple go further and apply this technology to attaching Airport and other wireless devices to the relevant areas?

Or am I being niave?
