I wanted to see Fareed Zakarias, India at Crossroads. Missed it on vacation.
$1.99 on itunes.
Tried many times and entered my ID correctly, but said failed.

Yet I did log into apple ID account fine in another window. Wiped out. Is it this hard?

I enter the precise, correct email and then password and click join, and the box comes up again, as if I did not enter anything.

So you click on "Billing Info" and get the same window again?

What happens when you log into the iTunes Store and try to review your billing information there?

The iTunes Store is in iTunes.

Got to the store, log in, have it show your account and verify your billing information.

S. Wow just crazy.
Ok logged out then back in. Then it says in order to buy, you need to verify billing info.
Then offers the same box again with those two fields, and then the normal combo does not work!

Did you try to buy before going to your account and doing as Spheric suggests?

J, yeah, did exactly as he says, and then at the point of verifying billing information, unfortunately Apple bring up the user/ pass window again, and then it does not work.

Contact iTunes support.

Unless you have something like Little Snitch or NetBarrier installed. If you do, deactivate them and try again.

thanks S, I'll make apt, with Genius Bar.

Ah, new info:
I went to my laptop, as that is what I would take into the Genius bar apt, to show them the issue, and with the laptop, there was no glitch. I did the billing info verification fine and downloaded the episode. So there is some glitch with the very heavy 27" desktop. Any ideas on how to clear the glitch with the desktop?

In iTunes under the "Store" menu, activate the account for that computer.

THANKS S. I think that solved it for the desktop.
Good job.
PIty, I made that download on the laptop, so I think I have to watch that one on the laptop correct?

No. Check the same Store menu for available downloads, and/or turn on automatic downloads in the iTunes preferences.

thanks S, Well, I watched it last night on the crummy sounding laptop — did not see this post yet.

Ok, on desktop, Store, available downloads, says, "all purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID", whatever that means.

If I go to TV shows on desktop, nothing is there. Only new ones to buy.

I checked automatic downloads in preferences as suggested, but again, the verification box for this now wont accept my valid password on the desktop. This seems to be a running problem with itunes?

BTW, for that in preferences it says automatic downloads for music and apps (does that mean TV shows are not part of auto downloads)

Finally, on desktop I see two shows in TV section even though I only downloaded one.
