I currently have a powermac g3 blue&white that has been upgraded to a G4 450mhz (from yikes model)

is there any G4 upgrades available to bump it up to around 700mhz or more?

thanx in advance

Sonnet sells 800, 900, and 1GHz upgrades for your machine but they reduce the system bus from 100MHz to 66Mhz.
FastMac and OWC used to sell a G4/600MHz upgrade that keeps the 100MHz bus, but it's been discontinued. It was actually a 500MHz rated chip guaranteed for 600MHz. Mine's been running at 650MHz just fine for a couple years now.

To my knowledge, the system bus doesn't change from 100mhz with teh Sonnet upgrade. I've got a 1ghz G4 from them in a B&W, and I'm very satisfied with it.

Luckily XLR8 is still selling their 600/650MHz upgrade, and they've dropped the price to $179.
