over the last couple days i've noticed that whenever i have a safari window open at least like 50% of my CPU is being used, and when i close it it goes back down to like a normal 5-8%. any ideas?
1.5Ghz 15" Alluminum Powerbook, 1.5Gb RAM, 64mb VRAM
iPod 4g 40GB

Been covered before. Did you search?

Quit Safari, reopen. Empty unread RSS feeds, empty cache, edit down Autofill elements especially Autofill > Others.
