I have tried various utilities in the last couple days and Safari won't turn aqua for me anymore. I have tried saft, safaricon and metalifizer. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just my system?

Perhaps you could take your question to the Software forum nextdoor ? Or read some stuff that's already there - it could be of help to you.

Here's a few of my experiences :
- Safaricon killed part of my Webkit folder
- I used PantherBrushKiller who's Uninstaller didn't work
- I've played around with some .css files without knowing enough about it and eventually messed up some things
- to make a long story short : I reinstalled Safari following the advices of the aforementioned forum in order to get things working again.

Good luck.

And how did you reinstall Safari?

Here's the link to the Safari problem

And here's what it comes down to (quoting theJoKell) :

- First, go to apple.com and download Safari
- Second, remove /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework
- Third, run that Safari installer

Within step 2, you can remove the Safari app too.
Worked for me.
