I was just thinking, it would be cool to meet one of you guys, so that you can then tell everybody else that in real life, I am a perfectly normal, cool, nice guy.

What do you think??

I'll actually be working at (prepare yourself) Microsoft this summer -- but in MS Research, not a product group -- and might, if you can give further evidence of not being a murderous weirdo who will strap me down and force me to watch your favorite movies over and over again, like to get together for coffee.

At first I thought you were referencing the "ask for Bill" part, but then I noticed the address...

I don't think he's falling for it...

Good God. I thought you might be wondering just to see who else is on the west coast. Not "so I can rly prove I'm rly legit and only an asshole online".

LET IT GO.

Also: try Howard Schultz. I hear he's super friendly.

<edit>I should also add that you did a commendable job of not being a douche for a few days, but you slid right back into it without much effort. Just be nice online and you won't have to have someone play messenger for you on the internets.</edit>

Well I'm going to suggest you wait six months, then come down to MWSF '08. It's the one time and place where we risk meeting each other in person./

It's hopeless MacGeek... give it up. We are not THAT different from our online personalities. It's like alcohol, online the real you come out, you are honest, hidden and anonymous. It is the personality in the daily world that is the one that is false.

I would have no problem meeting you if I lived there, but it would not change anything.

Actually, now that I think about it, I can't really just come down to the seattle area randomly, without my parents wanting to know exactly where i'm going, and with who i'm gonna visit. So if any of you really wanna meet me, you'd have to come to Orcas Island, which is actually a great place for a vacation, and you'll probably have dinner at my house, and possibly spend the night in our guest apartment. It's very nice up here. Also, if you come to Orcas, I can meet up like, anytime, cause i'm completely free the whole summer, so I can just arrange a time and a place to meet up in town or something, no problem.

Can I say something here? asking someone to meet you on the internet and sleep in your guest house on orcas island is just weird. This sounds likesomething fro that dateline thing "To catch a predator"...macgeek plays the kid who's trying to get older men to show up so they can get arrested on national tv. except he's serious.

I am surprisingly coherent for the amount of likker i have consumed in the last two hours.

So your parents wouldn't want you to go to Seattle randomly, but they are totally fine with inviting random people from the internet to spend the night at their house?

Yeah...that's the other part of what I was trying to convey last night.

No matter how you spin it, a sixteen-year-old kid (because, macgeek, no matter what your mother tells you at night, you're still a kid to the rest of us) inviting strangers from the internet to spend the night with him is just flat-out creepy.

And wrong.

Holy sh!t. what? Spend the night at your guest house?

I think everytime I think macgeek gets better, it just gets funnier and more depressing.

After meeting you, we may or may not host you... we have to get to know you and find out if you're an okay person. Understand?

The other day, I met 5 guys on the ferry boat, who needed a place to stay on the island, and I invited them over to my house, cause they looked like decent guys. They were. We had alot of fun hanging out, and they left the next morning.

We host people all the time. It's what we do.

Uh, no. We had dinner, then we played music together, and then we just hung out and talked and stuff, and then we went on a night walk in the woods, and then went to bed at like 12:45am.
