Does that mean making yet another p2p app or just make Poisoned "official"?

I'd bet on another p2p app if he agrees. One that is based on the FastTrack stack (which is licensed) and has more features.

Does this mean it'll download from 192.168. addresses now?

The inability to do that really limits success in downloading anything, there can be six clients hosting a file but maybe one will be successfully connected to do to that bug.

This is a network limitation in all implementations of the Internet. If your behind a firewall, and so is the other host, you cannot make a direct connection.

I specifically remember reading about a bug in the FT client that didn't allow connection to 192 addresses.

My PC running Kazaa lite is able to connect to everything and it's on the same network my Mac is on so it must be an issue with GiFT because I didn't open any ports for the PC.

The same guy makes Acquisition? It's at the link. Both apps are cool, but it seems if a download doesn't happen within a few hours or days of selecting it, then the download will never happen. It's as if those users never log back into the network.

Not the same guy, but he hosts the source code because the guy who writes Aquisition won't. If you want a paused download to continue, right click on them, and then, select "Find more sources"
