Looks like the OS9 forums have finally hit the end just as I need help with an issue. Everyone dust off your classic hats and see if you can help.

I have a G3 900 14" ibook running 10.3.4 on one partition with a very small partition waiting for OS9 to be installed. I realized that I had lost my OS9 cds, so I simply used an old system folder that I had on a firewire drive.

The machine will boot OS9 and all applications work, but I have one problem. The machine sets up as if I had an 8 inch screen, with black around all sides of the screen. The strange thing is that the main boot up screen and introduction OS9 picture works fine, but the screen switches as after boot.

Any suggestions on how to force it to fill the screen?

You don't have the right drivers for the video card. Since many machines were released after 9.2.2, not all 9.2.2 CDs are created equal. Not all OS 9 installs are created equal. You have to have a copy of the OS that is at least as new as your machine.

If you can find newer drivers online, that may fix your problem as well. I haven't tried that one.
