I accidently went on this sketchy site and it totally halted my computer and took like 5 minutes to quit out of (n00b maneuver I know). Anyways since then my Powerbook has been a lot slower then usual, so I was wondering if there was a (preferably free) app that can help clean out / get the performance back on my Mac
Mac:

Did you try rebooting? Emptying the cache in Safari?

For periodic maintenance, I rely on Onyx. It does a great job, is updated frequently and is free.

How much RAM do you have? How much free hard drive space do you have? And do you run any unusual third party software that could be draining resources?

Free up some space on your HD. I'm not saying this is the problem, but it couldn't hurt. WhatSize is a cool little app(free) that'll tell you how much each file is taking up on your HD. I run it about once a month.
