Is anyone else having a problem with dropped wireless internet connection? At first I thought it might have been my router, but when I open up the available connections, it won't show any connections that are available. After a few seconds it will again show all the available connections. Is this a known issue?

I was just reading a thread on some other forum about a guy who had this problem with his MBP. He said it would drop the connection every 15 minutes while his other 4 computers were fine.
If it does it at a regular interval, I would take it to the apple store and "show" them and either get it fixed or get a replacement.

my boss' MBP drops the connection to a non-apple access point (linksys SRX) about every 5-10 mintues. when he is connected to an apple base station, the connection NEVER drops.

This was a huge problem for me with the latest revision powerbook i bought. I bitched, and bitched to apple, and executives everyday and demonstrated the problem.... Then out of the blue I got a call from apple executive relations and a "airport fix" was released.

The problems (for the powerbooks) relate to people using more than 1gb of ram, and the lower ram slot... don't think that would be the problem with the mac book pro... Although my dell laptops often lose their wireless connection to the cheep dlink routers we have in the office. Never to my airport basestation though.

I've been using my MBP for a few days with a Linksys router and haven't dropped a connection at home, but it's a little shakier on campus - but then everyone seems to have that problem at times in certain places. My reception, however, is great.

Really? I was just eyeing the 1gb memory module at Crucial for my PB 1.5GHz. Could installing on of those affect the (already quite crappy) wifi reception on my PB? (Currently, I have 768mb total RAM installed.)
Macbook C2D 2GHz, 2Gb, 160Gb.
