Hi all,

Experiencing the WiFi equivalent of SCSI voodoo.

My MacBook will not connect to my work's wireless from a distance. The signal strength is at about half, and I get a green light as far as connectivity, but it won't work. If i move closer to the router, for purposes of testing it, it works. Unfortunately, since I'm at a cube a bit farther away, this isn't an option for permanence, just to test.

My question is, however, if it's registered as conencted and I get an IP address, and I get anywhere from 1-3 bars, what's the deal?

To add: I now get a 169, although I have two bars of Airport wireless on my menubar. Why no connectivity, even though it registers a decent strength?

Also to note: It works at home and at school, so I thought it was a problem with work's wireless. But as I move closer and get 4 bars, no problem with connectivity.
