I thought that the new 8.6 nano-kernel would have better multi-tasking. The mac is still horrible at multi-tasking. Just bring down a menu while doing anything and watch the whole computer stop! What a waste, at least windows can do that much better. Why can't the mac do something so simple.

All the new kernel was supposed to accomplish is speed up the Cooperative Multitasking. It was not supposed to add threaded multi-tasking (Meaning being able to hold down mouse button/pull down and still have copy move). That is a feature that you will have to wait for OS 9 or X. The reason why Apple did not put it in is becuase that is not something that is very easy to implement into such an archaeic OS.
