Is there a best place to buy an iPad? Are they all about the same price.

Any other tips or advice?

They are almost always the same price everywhere.

The Apple Store has an excellent return policy, so I'd go there.

OTOH, you can try and skate on sales tax and get it from Amazon (at least in the US). You can still exchange it at an Apple Store if it's a dud.

Apple Store. Go around 1p on a Tues/Wed. Should be calm.

If you work for FedEx you get a discount at the Apple store. I suspect the same would be true for a number of other employers as well. It isn't huge but I got 6% off my MBP which covered most of the tax. You also get 12% off AppleCare should you be so inclined.

Discover card offers a 5% cash rebate on Apple store purchases. A few other reward cards do, too.

Check out TARGET. Their charge card provides 5 % discount on iPads and other apple items. My cousin did use his target card and saved a lotta buck on that 5 % discount.

Often times buying online directly from Apple can net you a discount. Not sure about the iPad, but they offered 20% discounts before for the Macbook Pro
