Sounds about right.

A friend of mine knows David Prowse. Him and Lucas don't get on, or speak, or anything. Net profit deals don't always mean no money for the actors, it is wihtin the studios discretion to pay up, however I suspect that somewhere in Lucasfilm is a big red sign saying "no money for Dave. Ever"

Who knows why this has come about, but the asshat percentages are probably skewed in favour of Lucas.

Of course the percentages are set in Lucas' favor-he bankrolled Jedi personally. But I can't see why they'd screw Dave over, considering that George had to have special trucks built to haul the cash he made off of Jedi. This makes me think of the "Women in the Workplace" thread...except that this is guys and it's about business, not who wore the nicer frock (which would be David Prowse, of course-can't beat black leather and a cape!).

George Lucas is not a good person. He is a terrible soulless shell of a man.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Rich powerful people hold powerful grudges and usually only see the world from their point of view. Whatever set Lucas against Prowse has ensured that he'll not see a penny from Jedi.

I know that Prowse was upset when they replaced his voice with James Earl Jones.

I doubt that's it though... they probably screwed everyone over.

Looking at the way he treats his loyal fans, I can only imagine the way he treats everyone else.

I have about as much respect for George Lucas as I do a serial rapist. Okay, maybe that's harsh, but seriously... **** that guy.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

I doubt it too, Lucas would have replaced him for the next two movies if it were a huge problem.

It wasn't the voice thing that ticked Prowse off. I'll have to ask my friend for the inside skinny. It was something else that Lucas did.

Like Lucas cares.

Lucas and Prowse had a major falling out during the filming of Jedi. He's never at any conventions under Lucasfilm's banner (but he gets more attention than most anyone else).
