I tried getting ubuntu working via bootcamp a while back. The OS installed correctly with no problems. When I restarted, I didn't get any option to boot between ubuntu and leopard. Ubuntu had overwritten my bios. I had to reset the bios in order to boot back into leopard.

Anyone have any luck getting ubuntu to work in bootcamp and still be able to choose between the two at startup?

One minor note: Macs don't use BIOS.

Did you try holding down option at startup? This is one method on a Mac of selecting a boot volume.

What about GRUB -- did you install it?

I guess my windows terminology is getting mixed with macs (bios). I have the aluminum keyboard that doesn't seem to want to work at startup, but yes I did try that option with a usb keyboard that I know works at startup for that. Unfortunately, holding down option didn't work. I believe ubuntu installed its own grub, overriding whatever startup settings leopard had. That may have been what I meant when I said bios.
Thanks for the link. I think that's what I'm looking for.

If you hold down the option key when you reboot you should see both partitions, though the ubuntu shows up as a "windows" partition.

I use (and highly recommend) rEFIt, its a boot menu that you can install on your OSX partition, but does no alter any OSX system files. It gives you the ability to select which OS to start up.

I highly recommend reading/perusing the Ubuntu Forums Its an extremely active and helpful forum geared towards, you guessed it Ubuntu and there's an apple sub-forum focused on supporting Ubuntu on the Mac

The guild link posted by Cold Warrior mentions rEFIt; thanks. I am a member on the ubuntu forums with the user name squeabs. I tried getting some help, but to no avail so I asked on a mac forums and finally got some help.
Thanks to both of you.
