Since Apple's birthday falls on 1 April, this Saturday, I thought maybe today they'd do a product announcment if there was one.

What else may they do? Cake and icecream at the Apple stores on Saturday? Discounts? Free whirly gigs?

What do you think? Any rumors floating around? Hope they do something else it will be

I participated in the 30th Birthday Book that will be sent to Apple. It was my chance to express my feelings about Apple. The charge to be published in the book was $2. Now I wait and see what Steve will have to celebrate the birthday.

Funny how people are in love with a corporation.

I think funny isn't the word, tho. More like sad.

I didn't go as far as to send them a card or book. I just want another choice product to choose from as I'm in the market for a new Mac and thought I'd wait till after their birthday . . . just in case.

I have this vague memory of reading that Steve Jobs doesn't particularly like birthdays? Could be wrong.

I'm actually happy.

Apple has seriously changed my life though, it's the reason I started programming back when I was a kid. It probably even set me on the path towards becoming a computer scientist. Very few companies can ever claim to have such an impact on people's lives, and I think this is the reason they have such a loyal following.
