Look at who we are dealing with.

Nope. But yes, HAs can be quite idiotic.

You should hear what he has to say about SUVs and Christians!

To lay to rest the speculations of why I had to give my dogs away. I work for a non-profit organization what takes care of children. Children who are in situations where their parents or other guardians can't take care of them. Some are orphans, some were abandoned, some were taken from their parents by a court. I fill a position of what is called a "house parent". My wife and I raise the kids in a home, as if they were our own. Technically, it is a group home. But we are here 24 hours a day. We get 4 days a month off. It's not for everyone.

A policy the organization has concerning pets states that homes cannot have more than one dog and that the dog must weigh less than 25 lbs. Cats are prohibited due to allergy issues. so, my wife and I had to find homes for two cats and our two dogs that each weighed over 65 lbs.

The cat policy sucks. Everybody needs a cat. They are expensive, but perfect pets and are actually hypoallergenic, if you can get a Norwegian Forest Cat. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful animals you will ever see. Would they still have a problem with a cat if it doesn't cause allergies?

Does "being eaten" count as an allergy? I say yes.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. My mom says that her bandage is now removed to allow the wounds to breath, and I assume she's healing fine (because nothing has gone wrong, per se). I'll be going home Tuesday night, so I'll have more to say then.
