My wife has an Epson cx5400 all-in-one printer that connects via usb (no ethernet port) to her iBook G4. I want to move the printer into another room to clear up desk space for her, but this would require adding it to our wireless network. Does anyone know how best to do this - or is it even recomended?

I won't recommend it because it's an all in one, it won't appear as a local printer and thus the scanner won't work.

At this point she hardly ever uses the scanner, mostly just the printer and an occasional copy. Is there a way to set it up as a network printer and a stand alone copier/scanner? Or is there something intrinsic to it being an all in one that defeats this?

You can set it up as simply a shared printer very easily using an airport express or any number of other options you're just gonna lose the scanner and copy functions on the computer.
