So, here in Florida today we saw that Costco is selling the 20-inch iMac for $1549...with three years of AppleCare.

They also have Mac Minis and other Apple items.

I was surprised to see them there, but the truth is that a lot of people were checking them out. (I stopped and made the iMac look really great with a cool screensaver set-up.)

to Costco and Apple.

Good news!
Unfortunately, I've yet to see a single model here, not even the mini.

iMac Core Duo or iMac G5?

If it's the Core Duo, that is news.
If it's the G5, then welcome to a month ago.

Sure wish it was a Core Duo at that price.

Well, even for a G5 it's a great price. Those are by no means lousy machines, and if you need to run PPC-only software, will be faster than the Core Duo.

I saw them this week, plus a wall of iPods, and some nifty ipod speaker things, which unfortunately don't work with original iPods.

But so far, in a week I've almost recouped my membership fee.
