Flirty deep-sea squid is fast, aggressive hunter - deep-sea - 14 February 2007 - New Scientist Environment
This was a different species and the first of its kind caught on video, but it's the second giant squid in total caught on video. This particular squid is interesting because at the end of two of its tentacles, It has two large bioluminescent "bulbs", called photophores, at the end of two of its arms. The researchers filmed adult squid emitting both short and long flashes from their photophores when they attacked the small Japanese common squid that were used as bait.
Video of the squid attacking the camera and stuff. They're quick!
Another video of the squid making its photophores glows.
This video is perhaps the coolest one. Check out how bright that flash is. It's almost like a camera flash. Pretty cool.

Thanks for posting those videos! Such spectacular creatures. I'm especially awed by their color-changing abilities.

That wasn't the squid. That was a glint off of the lure being used to attract it.
