I hate to say it but I am going to be walking away from theme development.
The reasons are many but not limited to a severe lack of time now as I am getting exponentially busier with work and married life, including building a house. I will release updates to SimpleX, TuXedo, and ChosenOS as a final hoorah but I cant estimate these ETA's due to my fluxuating, revolving schedule.

Not to make this a bigger deal than it is but I would like to thank a few individuals who have contributed to my progression in some form or another on the GUI front:
smeger - For the tools and becoming a pretty damn good friend of mine
G3 Blueboy - For answering all my questions those first few weeks years ago
Max - For a keen eye collaborating to help tighten my stuff up
Zim - For creating Sosumi which inspired me to get my ass off the fence and into production mode
Donaters - You were few but very appreciated
dj, sage, networkshadow, kujo, fireside, imdamac, carbon, honz, dazzla... the list goes on I apologize if I dont list you here but you know who you are and I appreciate your input, praise and contributions.

Thanks to all who helped inspire me to do whatever it is I have done in this small community.

BTW, Im not going anywhere so I'll see ya around here still .

Good luck with the real life thingy Swiz.
Seems like this is a great opportunity to make a donation. I can't even remember if I have done so before. What does one brick cost exactly?

Too bad... You, Max, and BBX are the top 3 themers here, in my opinion. Hope you pick it up again soon.

I hate to see you go, but I know what it's like to have busy life and have no time for themes. I would like to make a few more themes myself but my life just isn't letting me. Make sure you put your time to good use.

I'll try to get a theme going this summer and maybe make a themeing name for myself.

I'm sorry to hear that you are stopping your theme development, but I understand why, knowing how very very time consuming it is. Thanks for contribution to the community and good luck with real life!

Thans a million for all the kind words everyone, it means alot to know how much all the effort was appreciated. The macnn community is a binary home away from home. Thanks again.

Just think of it as me riding off into the GUI horizon throwing you a peace sign.

I'd say that's great news. It means you have a life! Seriously though, there could be a ton of horrible reasons for you to stop theming and I'm glad none of them are it. Good luck and have fun (when you can) Swiz.

Loosing a top themer will be hard for all of us for sure but your personal commitment to your job and married life far outweigh our loss.

Thanks for all the beautiful themes you have created and please keep hanging around these parts.

If your house looks half as good as your themes then I'm sure it will be amazing.

You have a talent that few others share. Thanks for your efforts.

cheers

We'll miss you, you made some great themes. One thing I would like to ask is if you are going to make these themes available to someone else or allow other people to update these themes in the future, I would hate to see these great themes go to waste in a dark corner of the internet.

Kevin-

Thanks so much for all the wonderful artwork you have done. I have used one or another of your themes, rather than aqua, for about the past year, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Glad to see you are stepping away to live life a bit more. Hope all is well with the new family! Cheers!

Swiz, you are definitely an inspiration to us all. Thank you so much for the many themes you've created, for the support, and for being an integral part of the Mac GUI community. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and much happiness in this new phase of your life. Take care.

Wow, this is some sad sheot. I can totally dig the reasons, but I'm still gonna miss seeing you handle 47 billion requests for conflicting designs with the coolness you always reacted with.

Best of luck to you. Thanks for all the beautiful and original themes.

Hope to see you back in a few years. Maybe by then Apple will have the Mac OS a little more theme-friendly.

Wow. Well, like others have said, it's good that you have your priorities straight, swiz. I hope you have a great married life man!

One thing, as kovacs said, It'd be a good idea to turn over the themes to someone you trust. However, I can see why you wouldn't want to take that risk, but as everyone has said, your themes are great and that'd be good for the coming weeks as Panther theming evolves. I'd say that Max Rudberg would be a great choice, but I'm completely positive that he has plenty to deal with at the moment as well. Well, whatever you do, I'm sure the community would understand why you have to go.

Again, have a nice life!

Heh heh, ditto!

swiz - As with everyone else, I fully understand. In fact, that's the only reason I haven't delved into making my own themes, because there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Enjoy life, and glad to note that you'll still frequent the GUI forums.

Swiz:

You have thought different...
You have lived your moment....
Now it is time to really live.

Swiz--If I knew you in person, I'd probably tell ya we need to go out and get a beer (or whatever your libation happens to be.)

You have done one helluva job, and speaking as user of a number of the themes that you Max, and DaMac created over the past year or so, I am happy to say that if you decided to ride off into the GUI horizon, never forget what you learned, never forget what you experienced, and make your 'real' life as great--hell if not better than your themes.

You rock...

See you on the other side of the sunset.

Very very sad!!

But there is also a good thing about you leaving:
this will make it a lot easier for me to choose my favorite theme in the future!

Well, I say as everyone else, thanks for many great themes and inspirations. And good luck in the "real world".

You have been a great source of inspiration and information for many. I think that when the themeing for 10.3 starts to gain full speed more people will start theme, and I hope that that will be the case

And, I hope that you will be a member of mTm (if I ever get that damn site up, but I have actually started again)! If someone remembers my talk about mTm^^

bye swiss, hope to see more great themes in the future maybe
