How can I run .EXE programs on my iMac??

This is a PC program. You can run it on a Mac using a Windows emulation program like Virtual PC from Connetrix. It comes with Windows 98,95 or DOS as well as Linux. The most flexible all around Windows OS is Windows 98 (in my opinion, of course) if you decide to go this route.

If you're going to run Virtual PC, do so with Windows 95. Its the lesser of the M$ evils...
And the fastest of the lot.
Also, some, albeit few, exe's can be opened by Stuffit Expander, if they are simply self extracting archives.
