yes, I know, I know. We have all talked about it and vented frustration over it. I have tried everything including profanity to no avail.
today I tried a fix and it seems to be working. I have been online for over an hour without a 264 error. Imagine that. I went to Internet connect/edit/PPP/PPP options, then looked down at the advanced option. I unchecked all the boxes then restarted. It seems to work fine now. I don't know how it will do tonight though. I found this fix either here or a MacFixit. I can't remember which, they are all blurred together in one big clump of seemingly fruitless searching.
I downloaded IE5.1 update without a hitch. And I am now using it for this post. Last night it 264'd on me about 10 times.
So give it a try and let me know how it worked for you guys and gals.
