My shuffle 1G simply stopped getting detected by the computer, not even the system profiler or the iPod shuffle reset utility that fixes the blinking lights of death. it still plays the music currrently on it though, but there is no way I can recharge it. Is it officially dead?

My shuffle is doing the same thing, anyone know if there's anything I can do? Macs won't see it, so I can't reset it using the utility, and it won't even charge
