Hi,
For some reason sometimes when I start up my macbook (I shut it off during the night ) the date and time from the taskbar or whatever its called disappears. I go into system pref. and check the box and then it comes back. But then next time on start up, it's gone again, even after checking the box so it appears on start up. This has happened over 6 times now, and each time I re-check the box so it appears.
The same thing happens with the airport wireless status icon.

Why is it doing this?

Perhaps your preferences got messed up somehow. Try deleting your username/library/preferences/com.apple.MenuBarClock.plist file, log out and log in again?

Thanks, I tried that and it seems to be working so far....
We'll see how it goes next time I shut it off.
