Hello, I have an issue concerning Leopard/Snow Leopard's Finder and deleting files from a SAMBA share. Regular files, when the SAMBA share is mounted, can be deleted with no problem. However, my media server has backup copies of apps that I have downloaded/purchased, and this is where the problem comes in... Most (about 90%) of the time I try to delete an app (whether I just decided I don't need it, or am replacing it with a newer version), Finder spits an error out that the operation can not be complete, either due to 'Versions' or 'Resources' being in use. I end up having to open up a terminal, SSH'ing into the media server, and removing the apps manually (which, when reorganizing/mass deleting/updating, gets to be a real chore).
Is there anything I can do to figure out what is going on?
